(WHDH) — A winter storm warning is in effect for parts of Worcester County and Western Massachusetts ahead of a storm that is expected to bring accumulating snow to parts of the state.
The warning in effect for Sunday evening to Monday afternoon. A winter storm advisory is in effect for much of the rest of the state.
The storm is expected to begin around 8 p.m. Sunday and bring mainly rain to the Boston area.
Communities south and east of 495 and along the coast are expected to get a coating to an inch, the Worcester hills could see 1 to 3 inches and far nothern Mass. and New Hampshire and Vermont can expect 3 to 6 inches.
